About Image Factory West

We've Been Doing This Since Before 'Ecommerce' Was a Common Word.

Image Factory West is a product photography studio in Lake Forest, Orange County, CA, run by Adam Rowell. We've shot skincare, supplement and wellness products for brands for over 20 years, with packages from $750 and delivery in 5 to 7 business days. The tools and turnaround times may have changed, but the mission is the same: make your products look so good people cannot help but buy them.

● Our Story

Founded in 2003. Built for what comes next.

Image Factory West started in 2003 - when digital cameras were just becoming viable for some professional work, when Amazon was still thought of as a mostly a bookstore, and when "product photography" meant big studios, big budgets, and long turnaround times.A lot has changed. The standards are higher. The platforms are more demanding. The technology has completely transformed what is possible. But the core mission is exactly the same: make your products look so good that people cannot help but buy them. What began as a product and portrait photography studio has evolved into something harder to categorize - part photography studio, part digital imaging lab, part AI-enhanced creative shop. The most significant evolution in recent years is AI-built lifestyle imagery: professional location-shoot quality at an affordable studio-shoot cost.

Who's behind the camera.

Image Factory West is run by founder Adam Rowell, a designer and photographer who has been shooting products for ecommerce brands since 2003. Adam handles every shoot in the Lake Forest studio himself, from lighting to final retouching. That's why the same person who answers your estimate request is the one who makes sure your label is sharp and your color is right.

● What we believe

Our way of working, in four lines.

01
Photography is strategy, not aesthetics.
Every image we make has a job to do - convert a browser, reinforce a brand, stop a scroll. We think about that job before we set up a single light.
02
Brands deserve visual consistency.
One great hero image is not enough. We build visual systems - cohesive libraries that work together across your website, your Amazon listing, your social feed, and your advertising.
03
Collaboration beats order-taking.
We ask questions, push back on things that will not serve you, and bring our own creative perspective to every project. The best results come from real dialogue, not silent execution.
04
Speed matters as much as quality.
A perfect image delivered three weeks after your launch date is a failure. We have built our workflow to deliver both - exceptional quality and turnaround times that keep pace with your business.
● The studio

Based in Lake Forest, California.

Our studio is in the south Orange County. We serve local clients who drop off products, regional and national clients who ship. Both workflows are seamless. Most clients never visit the studio.
